Once a familiar face on both the boob tube and in slash-happy horror flicks, Anne-Marie Martin left show business in the late ’80s to marry bestselling author Michael Crichton. The marriage didn’t last — Anne-Marie got $31 million in their divorce settlement in 2002 — but Mary’s performances on TV shows like The New Adventures of Wonder Woman (1976), B.J. and the Bear (1980), T.J. Hooker (1983), and St. Elsewhere (1984) and in the slasher flicks Prom Night (1980), Savage Harvest (1981), The Boogens (1981), and Halloween II (1981) have been preserved on film (or video) for eternity. Anne-Marie was born on November 11, 1957, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada under the name “Edmonda Benton.” Her earliest onscreen credits were in works such as The Streets of San Francisco (1977), Rafferty (1977), Magic Mongo (1977), Deadman’s Curve (1978), and Doctors’ Private Lives (1978). Anne-Marie hasn’t been willing to get too sexy onscreen over the course of her career, but spankfully for the hairy-palmed set, there is a moment in The Boogens (1981) where her left breast falls out of her towel to expose her oversized areola. You’ll be pulling your Jurassic Pork! Anne-Marie retired from acting in the late ’80s and instead went on to pursue her love passion for competitive horseback riding. She even rode for the American Team in the World Championship competition for Icelandic horses.
